Purpose of the role:
This role is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account reconciliations. Actively participating the monthly closings and account analysis.
While doing these duties, the accountant ensures that it is in compliance with the professional legal practices and standards, and also with the organization's policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities:
- calculate & prepare journal entries
- complete general ledger operations
- actively participate in monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
- processing revaluation
- manage complex accounting, month end closing processes
- support reporting to HFM, support to eliminate validation errors
- draw up monthly financial reports
- assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested
- assist with year-end closings
- assist with internal and external audit requests
- perform account reconciliations and analyse accounts
- proactively come up with new ideas
- support standardization efforts
- ensure timely processing of assigned tasks in accordance with Closing Calendar
- ensure manual entries executed on time and correctly within the period in the ERP
- ensure BS reconciliations are done efficiently, required adjustments are resolved
This role will suit you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
- 2-4 years in Accounting / Finance
- experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- knowledge of accounting principles and practices is required
- knowledge of finance principles is required
- knowledge of financial reporting is an advantage
- solid ERP (SAP) accounting experience is required
- consolidation tool (HFM) experience is required
- fluency in English, Other European language is an advantage
